White Elk protects Nida from intruders and the community wants to protect the " White Elk", the nature by NOT BUILDING the bridge from Klaipėda to Smiltynė. This bridge would bring uncontrollable flow of people and would negatively effect the bond between Nida and it's sacred nature.
