Gegužės 14 d. kino režisierius Olegas Sencovas, nuteistas kalėti 20 metų ir tarptautinės organizacijos „Memorialas“ pripažintas politiniu kaliniu, o „Amnesty International“ neteisėtai persekiojamu, pradėjo bado streiką reikalaudamas paleisti visus Ukrainos politinius kalinius, kalinčius Rusijoje. Eina antra bado streiko savaitė. Mes reikalaujame išgelbėti Olego Sencovo gyvybę ir paleisti jį. Režisieriaus mirtis viso pasaulio akivaizdoje būtų gėdinga tragedija.

14 мая кинорежиссер Олег Сенцов, осужденный на 20 лет тюрьмы и международным правозащитным обществом „Мемориал“ признанный политзаключенным, a „Amnesty International“ несправедливо преследуемым, начал бессрочную голодовку с требование освободить украинских политзаключенных. Идет вторая неделя голодовки. Мы требуем спасти его жизнь и освободить Олега Сенцова. Смерть режиссера на глазах всего мира была бы позором и трагедией.

Appeal by Lithuanian film and culture community
On 14th May film director Oleg Sentsov, who has been condemned for 20 years imprisonment, has begun a hunger strike. At the time of incarceration he was immediately recognised as a political prisoner by the international organisation Memorial, while Amnesty International has declared the whole process to have been a show trial. Oleg has begun a hunger strike demanding for all Ukrainian political prisoners, imprisoned in Russia, to be released from incarceration; he is now in the second week of hunger strike. We demand for the life of Oleg Sentsov to be saved and for him to be released. The death of film director before the eyes of the world would be a shameful tragedy.
